BATH CUPBOARD

Image
Cupboard with vintage containers. I found another vintage style cupboard for the bath. I LOVE these! If you're blessed enough to have a bathroom large enough for one of these you should really consider it! There is plenty of storage for all your bath needs in this cupboard that can be handily put into different compartments: cupboards with doors, cupboards with glass doors, drawers, and open shelves! You can also use the top for even MORE storage. The vintage style glass jars also add to the vintage look and feel. Be sure and check out my PINTEREST VINTAGE STORAGE COMMUNITY BOARD for more storage ideas.  Click on  the PINTEREST button on the right sidebar to go there. The board is open for ANYONE to add their OWN  finds to the board. Just message me on Facebook or e-mail me through this blog to let me know you'd like to be a "member". We can share ideas!

VINTAGE CONTAINERS FOR YOUR BATH

Image
Metal and glass stand with planters used for organizing. This week I'm sharing vintage bathroom storage ideas.  So here's another cute idea for bringing some organization and vintage style into your bathroom... use vintage planters and glass containers to hold bathroom supplies. The photo here shows how it worked in THIS bath.  I especially love the planter on the lower shelf in the back holding hand towels. Planters  and other containers are easy to find at garage sales often for under $1 so this is also an INEXPENSIVE way to decorate with style. Find a variety of them for a fun and creative display.  This  color also brightens up the bath with its bright yellow! The little metal and glass cart is cute for holding these bath items. It is small enough to fit most bathrooms...except mine! ( boo ) As I stated in my last post I have a tiny bathroom and have had to come up with  some different ideas for storage which I'll share in a later post. The other photo posted h

VINTAGE BATHROOM IDEAS

Image
I am GREEN with envy! I would LOVE this light green vintage  storage cupboard in my bathroom. We live in an old home built in 1917 and there is very little room in our bathroom for anything this large. So one of MY challenges is to find  creative storage ideas for towels and other bath supplies. This week I'll be sharing some vintage  style storage ideas for the bath. If YOU have something like this in YOUR bathroom, I'd love to hear about it. Leave a comment and share! And don't forget to FOLLOW... ; )

ONE STEP AT A TIME

A well-ordered life is like climbing a tower; the view halfway up is better than the view from the base, and it steadily becomes finer as the horizon expands.      William Lyon Phelps If you're considering the  changes needed to create the well-ordered life it may seem overwhelming in the beginning. As William Phelps says it's like climbing a tower. You're at the bottom and looking up and it looks impossible to climb. But if you take just one step  at a time and baby steps at that,  in no time you'll be feeling "finer" as he says. Even after the FIRST baby step you'll begin to feel the effects of a well-ordered life. You will feel a sense of accomplishment and you'll have a HINT of the feeling of serenity you can have when you bring order into your life and home. When I married my husband he was a "messy". He was seemingly not bothered by trying to relax  surrounded by a mess of papers and "stuff". Me? I had to have my own li

ORDERING YOUR LIFE

Image
Hi! And welcome to my newest blog! Hah! Just what I need...another blog! : ) My reason for beginning this blog is  to share ideas and tips on how to order your life and home. I also want to provide a forum for others to share THEIR  ideas as well. I hope you'll follow along and we can learn together! I'll cover topics covering "a well organized home" to "organizing your time and activities" to "putting your finances in order". Organizing vintage style Organizing children's toys Organizing children's clothing  Life is busy! Many households have two parents working outside the home and  yet can still end up with "too much month left at the end of their money". Children are involved in numerous activities and need to be chauffeured to their events. Too-busy families eat meals on the run. Because of the lack of time in the home, there is seemingly less time to create and promote order. Family members end up feeling
