ORDERING YOUR LIFE

Hi! And welcome to my newest blog! Hah! Just what I need...another blog! : )

My reason for beginning this blog is  to share ideas and tips on how to order your life and home. I also want to provide a forum for others to share THEIR  ideas as well. I hope you'll follow along and we can learn together! I'll cover topics covering "a well organized home" to "organizing your time and activities" to "putting your finances in order".

Life is busy! Many households have two parents working outside the home and  yet can still end up with "too much month left at the end of their money". Children are involved in numerous activities and need to be chauffeured to their events. Too-busy families eat meals on the run. Because of the lack of time in the home, there is seemingly less time to create and promote order. Family members end up feeling stressed out and chaotic. Things are forgotten easier and  too much time is wasted looking for lost items. The haven and sanctuary  that your home could provide for you becomes a place to temporarily land and then MOVE ON to the next event.

So what can you do about this? Can you REALLY create order in your home and  life that will help you to live with more calm and less stress?  What does a well-ordered LIFE look like?  How do you get your finances in order? How can you deal with the constant "paper blizzard" problem? What does a well-ordered HOME look like? Can you have spontaneity in a well-ordered life?  Is it complicated to order your home and life? I just want a SIMPLE life...how can I have that? These are just a few of the questions we'll explore in the days, weeks, and months to come.

To get you geared up and thinking about organizing your home, check out my "ORGANIZING" board on PINTEREST.  And if you are a lover of vintage, go to my "VINTAGE ORGANIZING" board. To go there, click on the PINTEREST button on the right sidebar. Be sure and follow me here and on PINTEREST so you don't miss anything. And start your OWN PINTEREST board to begin your own pinning of organizing ideas.

MY interest in organizing began after our second child arrived. Two children does not DOUBLE your work but seems to triple or quadruple it! So I knew I needed to come up with a plan in order to get things done. I even put together a planner to meet my needs and had it printed and sold some copies. With my plan in place I had more freedom to enjoy life more. I didn't feel like I was racing through life. My home became more of a haven for our family. Our lives were orderly and relaxed but not regimented. We left room for spontaneity so our lives were filled with fun and adventure! I was even able to transfer these "orderly skills" to our finances and that in itself was AMAZING! After a period of working my plan and selling my planner,  I was invited to speak to groups about "time management" and added "ordering my time" to  the list of skills I was learning and applying to my life.  Life almost seemed BLISSFUL! Yes, there were the normal struggles that all families work through but CREATING ORDER made things so much more manageable. I've found that since my children have grown life has gotten even busier for families!  And while my life has changed in that I'm now a grandmother, I have NEW challenges in ordering my life! We need to find ways to make life less stressful, more relaxed, and our homes a haven for us to enjoy. I hope that this can be one more place to share our ideas and help to create A WELL ORDERED LIFE!

I hope you'll join me in this new venture and contribute. I'd love to hear what has worked for YOU!
